About the company:

The company "Kurzemes Avio" was founded in October, 1998 in Liepaja.

The history of aviation sports has deep roots in Kurzeme and begins the counting out foundation "Kurzemes AvioKlubs" in Liepaja in 1930.

After the Second World War, aviation enthusiasts of Liepaja has founded airmodeling club in 1948, glider aeroclub was revived on the base of the club.

In 1958 the Liepajas aeroclub was transformed into the first aeroclub DOSAAF in Latvia, and in 1961 the aeroclub DOSAAF was given the honorable name of the First cosmonaut of a planet of Jury Gagarin.

For years of existence of aeroclub, many hundreds young men and girls received the permit in the flight through it.

Sportsmen of club repeatedly won at republican, allied and international competitions, and they established lot of records.

Some of which are not surpassed and today - non-stop flight V.Vesminsh in 1964 on the route Cirava - Minsk (505 km).

After disintegration of the USSR in 1991 again only the enthusiasm of people in love with the sky has allowed to keep the aeroclub named "Kurzemes Aeroklubs".


"Kurzemes Aeroklubs" was belonged to SIA " Kurzemes Avio" in 1998 (Liepaja, Latvia).

The main activities of the company are the following: propagation of aviation sports, organizing of charter flights, providing for the flights of airlines (handling, catering, etc.).
